Rain or Shine: device placed 8 ft minimum behind the ball; indoor use with nets explicitly supported.

What it measures
Ball data (7): ball speed, launch angle, launch direction, carry distance, total distance, side carry, smash factor
Club data (1): club speed
Measured vs. calculated: Doppler radar measures speeds and launch; the paired iPhone/iPad camera provides shot vision and video replay (no built-in cameras, unlike MLM2PRO); distances are modeled. Rapsodo does not publish a full breakdown.
Accuracy: No current third-party accuracy data cited in 2026 listings; reviewers note the MLM2PRO 'provides better numbers' (Wicked Smart Golf / Breaking Eighty roundup).

Notes
Pricing: Effectively phased out in favor of the MLM2PRO and dropped from 2026 'best of' lists, but new units are still sold: at the September 2026 re-check rapsodo.com lists the new MLM1 at $199.99 (regular $249.99) with Add to Cart active, alongside separately listed refurbished units, and Rain or Shine also has it at $199.99 (from $249.99), shipping in 1-2 days.
Left-handed players: Sits directly behind the ball on the target line; left-handed support was not available at launch and was added later via app update.
iOS only (iPhone/iPad required — uses the phone camera). No golf-course simulation in any version; practice/range data device only.
